James Baldwin

Working predominately in graphite, Auckland based artist James Baldwin, creates beautifully detailed, realist drawings.
The major body of his work is aviation based, having built a major international client list over the last twenty years, the bulk of which is in the US (commercial, military and private).
Despite the rather niche specialism, he has a real passion for portraiture and landscape and it is in these disciplines where his love of the humble pencil really shines through.
He has exhibited at galleries in London and Edinburgh and has works on permanent display in museums in San Diego, St. Louis and Washington.
