Jacqueline Welch
Jacki Welch was born in Luton, England in 1971. She spent her life in Bedford and surrounding areas until a change in circumstances gave her the opportunity and the inclination to travel the World. During her travels she came to New Zealand, she felt as though she had arrived 'home' and knew this is where she wanted to live. Jacki moved permanently to New Zealand in 2008 and after travelling the country extensively she eventually settled in the beautiful Bay of Islands in 2013.
Jacki was captivated by the landscape and started to draw and paint whenever time allowed. Now as a full time artist, Jacki loves nothing more than exploring the coast and countryside, gathering reference materials and painting on location with artist friends.
